First, I want to say thank you for visiting my GoFundMe. My name is Megan, I am a single mom of twins fighting stage 4 metastatic breast cancer. My cancer is terminal, and the goal is to keep the cancer from spreading as long as we can to give me longer than the expected 5 years that they predict for us. My cancer is currently in the breast and throughout my liver, with a possible lesion in my lung that we are watching. I also had a lesion in one of my ovaries found when I had them removed in 2024.
I am not one to ask for help ever, but I have to put my pride aside. As a single mom and fighting cancer, finances have become difficult. I work full-time, but there are times when I miss work due to the cancer and the treatment that I’m on. I will be on cancer meds for the rest of my life until they just stop working. The side effects from the medications I take can be pretty harsh. I deal with constant fatigue, body pain, and nausea. I physically am not able to work a second job and just not sure what else to do at this point.
I have the option to be on disability, but I am unable to even do that until I pay off my car and house because I would not survive financially with just that income. Family and friends have helped in the past, but they can only do so much. I’m just not able to live off what I make and missing work at times. The stress of bills and missing work is becoming overwhelming. Prayers are greatly appreciated as well.
