On July 12, our world was turned upside down when our son, Juan Patterson, was involved in a terrible car accident here in Wichita. A speeding driver without insurance collided with Juan's car, leaving him with serious injuries that required surgery. The accident totaled his car, a loss that isn’t just financial but deeply personal for our family. Knowing that the responsibility for the damages falls entirely on us has been overwhelming.
Juan has always been someone who faces challenges head-on, with resilience and a positive spirit. Seeing him go through this difficult time, as much as he tries to stay strong, is heart-wrenching for us as parents.
