Transform1060 is a social and educational space serving the San Francisco Bay area LGBTQ+ leather, fetish, and kink communities. As one of the only spaces of its type in San Francisco, we service as an event rental space for classes, support groups, and parties.
We're a registered California public benefit corporation and sponsored 501(c)3 non-profit. We're located in the historic South of Market district of San Francisco, the long time center of LGBTQ+ leather community in the city. We're adjacent to the world's first city-recognized Leather & LGBTQ Cultural District.
We exist to serve our community -- we work so you can play! Whether you've attended, volunteered, or hosted an event at Transform1060, you've been a part of our success over the past two years, and we're deeply grateful.
We also want to take a moment to thank those of you who participate in our success through financial support -- your donations have helped us to work towards our goal of long term fiscal sustainability. Rental income and donations allowed us to make a number of repairs and improvements. We've repaired and improved the heating system, upgraded security at our entrances, updated and replaced equipment, added suspension hard points, and improved bathroom facilities. We got the upstairs toilet fixed, thanks to stakeholder support!
With that in mind, we'd like to ask you all to consider giving to Transform1060 this season -- and giving again, if you have supported us before. We tend to have more emergency repair expenses in the winter months -- the rainy season is hard on a lot of San Francisco spaces!
Transform1060 is a crucial part of the social fabric of SOMA's leather culture and history. PLEASE help us keep it open and financially sustainable!
