Hello Family and Friends,
After two last minute cancellations, TODAY 5/31/24 I will undergo cervical spine surgery where titanium prosthetics will be placed between vertabraes to stabilize my neck and alleviate constant nerve pain. The extra time has helped me wrap my head around the need for this operation and I can now visualize a great outcome (hopefully before summer is over!!!)
This herniated disc injury was sustained on 3/2/21 in a chiropractor's office just as services in LA County opened up during Covid. Nothing against Chiro's as they were so helpful after a skiing injury left me with a syadic nerve condition, hobbling into my 20's. At the time, the neurosurgeons were no help and I discovered the benefits of Chiro.
I have been living with partial paralysis (my arms are compromised) and pain ever since. I have also taken every suggestion given (with gratitude!) and tried every alernative.
We've scraped by on consulting projects to sustain us, but so difficult while in constant pain--sitting and computer work being the worst!
All the medicall expenses and disability have wiped out all my reserves, income, and nearly cost me my property. Losing my Mom last year has only exacerbated our crisis and left us completely vulnerable.
Like Job in the bible, I maintain my faith and believe I will get to the other side of this ordeal and findrestoration. Yet, it is so hard going into this life event with depleted resources, which is why I am turning to you, my treasured allies for assistance. If there is anything you can comfortably contribute, it would be so helpful to our life. I trust that one day I'l be back on my feet and able to return any kindness.
