The devistating invasion from the Russian military into Ukraine has already led to atrocious human rights violations, war crimes and genocide. The Russian Nation has a brutal war history and tends to disregard international humanitarian law. We already know the common results of war: civilian casualties, displacement of children, poverty and hunger. How will Ukrainian civillians return to life as it was before the barbaric damage inflicted on them?
Ukraine is shedding blood for a free world. An attack on Ukraine is an attack on humanities across the globe. What will stop Russia from attacking other countries if they succeed in the possession of Ukraine. An estimated 83% of Russian citizens support the war, all of us can be victims if we don't act against them.
The objective of this project is to inform people of the catastrophic implications of the war in Ukraine and the history of the conflict from an anthropological point of view. We want to promote activism in support of the people of Ukraine as well as others affected by the war. We will also report on new initiatives to support Ukrainian refugees and what the future holds for mitigation efforts. How can we turn a blind eye to the children being bombed and raped by Russian soldiers.
