Giving Back to the Friend Who’s Brought Us Together for 10+ Years
Story:
For the past decade plus, once a month, Brett has opened his garage and his home to 20–30 of us on average for Saturday poker nights. No agenda, no expectation — just good cards, good laughs, and a place where friendships were built and kept alive.
Last Saturday night, an accident happened. After the game, the garage door was unintentionally left open. With the freezing temperatures, several water pipes froze and burst, causing significant damage to his garage and home.
This wasn’t anyone’s fault individually — but collectively, I feel this is a moment to show up for someone who has shown up for all of us for years.
Brett has never asked for anything in return for hosting these nights. He’s done it out of generosity, consistency, and a genuine love for bringing people together. Now it’s our turn to give back.
Funds raised will go toward:
•Emergency plumbing repairs
•Water damage cleanup and restoration
•Any additional repair costs related to the burst pipes
If you’ve ever enjoyed a poker night, a laugh, a conversation, or simply the feeling of belonging that came with those evenings — this is a small way to say thank you.
Every contribution, no matter the size, helps. And if you’re not able to give, sharing this page means just as much.
Let’s take care of one of our own. ❤️
