Hi my name is Angelina Rasmussen (Magsanay), a native Filipino, now living and working in the US. On December 10th of 2021 Typhoon Rai, known as Typhoon Odette in the Philippines struck my home in the Philippines tearing off the roof completely. At this time my brother, his wife and kids and my mother were living there. Thankfully they are all safe from the devastation but are now in effect without shelter. The strength of the storm was so complete that most of the area south of Maasin City in the province of Leyte of the Philippines has been completely wiped out. My family has no power, no shelter, and scrounging for food from locals and the government when they come. Myself and others will be sending money to my relatives as soon as possible but it won't be enough to provide them the shelter they need to survive. That is why I am here to ask for your gift of kindness in this moment of great need. Anything will be accepted in regards to a donation and be of a great help to my immediate family in the Philippines. I thank you kindly and deeply for your help. I will upload more photos when I am able to get better communication with my family, as of right now, the cell phone towers and Internet is down from the Typhoon.
