Alan and Kecia have been my friends for well over 20 years and they are in for the fight of a lifetime. In a time when uncertainty is felt worldwide, they now have to add a cancer diagnosis to the mix. Alan and Kecia are active members of our local church and in the midst of cold season, that is what Alan thought he had. Everyone had a cold or flu at our church and he thought he had the same, but the nagging flu-like symptoms wouldn’t go away.
He went to the doctor and they said he had pneumonia and he would feel better then later felt worse. Last week,he was formally diagnosed with stage 4 AlK lung cancer. His wife is a COTA and can’t work because she is taking care of him. His treatment will begin today. Cancer doesn’t stop the bills. They are very strong in their faith and are relying on God. I am starting this fundraiser to help cover bills and medication for them on their behalf. They don’t know and I would love for everyone to bless them with anything you are able to give. Thank you.
