Help Support BE BRACAMONTE’s Care and Recovery
My name is Teng Juan-Bracamonte, and I am fundraising for my beloved sister, Be Bracamonte.
For months now, our family has been in a difficult journey with her health. BE is incapacitated and has been in and out of multiple hospitals—this is now our fourth hospital transfer. Each time we hope for progress, she faces another setback, often battling serious infections that keep her from healing and returning to the comfort of home.
On top of the medical struggles, I am also in the middle of a court process to complete guardianship paperwork so I can officially act on her behalf. The process is complicated, overwhelming, and expensive—but necessary to make sure she gets the care and services she deserves.
Our immediate needs include:
•Medical expenses and supplies not covered by assistance programs
•Safe long-distance transportation to move her from Chicago to California, where our family can support her recovery
•Ongoing care costs, including home services, medications, and infection management
•Court and legal fees tied to guardianship and her care planning.
This has been one of the hardest seasons of my family. There are moments when I feel like giving up, but I remind myself: everything I’m doing is for her, because she cannot do it for herself.
