Hi everyone! As most of you know I lost my ability to walk when I was in the hospital for 2 months. I have been bed bound ever since as I don't have a wheelchair and my Medicaid will not cover one. I can sit up, I can move my legs, I'm just not able to walk because of severe muscle atrophy and nerve damage from neuropathy. I also have fibromyalgia. I have been stuck in this bed, stuck in this room for 9 very long months since I have no way to get around. It's debilitating, it's depressing and it's not healthy to not be active either. I have become a prisoner in my own home, a prisoner in my own life. If I could get a wheelchair I could at least get some freedom to move around my house or go outside and sit on the porch or whatever I can do to get out of this room. I'd also be getting some exercise as I'd have to roll myself around. Getting a wheelchair could change my life and if any of you could please help me with that I'd greatly appreciate it. Thank you for reading.
Heather
