On August 10th, my world turned upside down when my son Johnathon was in a high-speed car accident. I still remember the call, feeling like time stopped as I rushed to the hospital. He's currently in a coma in the ICU here in Eugene, bravely holding on. It breaks my heart to see him like this, with brain damage and one side of his body paralyzed. There's also a possibility he might lose the sight in one eye. Seeing him every day, I’m reminded of how strong he is, even when he’s not conscious.
The journey ahead is daunting. Specialists have told me that his recovery will be long and challenging. I spend every moment by his side, talking to him and hoping he hears me. The hospital staff have been incredible, but the financial burden of this unexpected tragedy is overwhelming. Your support would mean everything to us, providing a glimmer of hope in such a stormy time. Thank you for taking a moment to read our story and for keeping Johnathon in your thoughts.
