Inna came to the US 2.5 years ago seeking asylum as a refugee from Russia, in hopes of pursuing a more stable and promising life for herself and her husband. Since being in the US, Inna has already invested around $17,000 on attorneys, translations of documents, and additional fees from our government. After several postponed court hearings over the last few years, the fate of Inna’s future in the US has been decided.
She was NOT granted asylum and must leave the US in less than 30 days, or risk a 10 year ban from reentering this country. Inna and her husband have decided to not continue to invest in attorneys and fees to appeal, so they are preparing for an unknown move in the coming weeks. As someone who cares for Inna and wants to help, I’m creating this link so those that also want to help will contribute to the upcoming costs they will face as they relocate. For those that know Inna, we are devastated and heartbroken over the fact that this broken system has taken away her opportunity for a future here. Please give what you can to help my friend.
