My birthname is Sean Regner, however my Sufi teacher four years ago gave me the name RamDev. It is an honor to connect with you. Thank you for taking the time to read this.
My story dates back to before 5 years ago, where I was surviving in the ghettos of Columbus Ohio. Coming from a place where our motto was Drink Smoke Fight F*ck. A rap group I was in literally had shirts made with that motto on it. A very toxic environment. I left that life in pursuit of something better. Little to none did I know I would wind up at a Hindu Temple, Neem Karoli Baba Ashram, Hanuman Temple in Taos, New Mexico. Being there and introduced to the Hindu, Buddhist, Sufi, and many other paths, I remember who I am. My life has transformed since then, and devotional music is my passion now. Creating healing for myself and others is my purpose. I now take my previous gifts of wordplay, mixed with a new electric charge of Bhakti yoga, and incorporate real life experiences to transmute suffering through my music. I feel I am a bridge between the lost worlds of the concrete jungles, located in the forgotten ghettos of America, and the conscious light workers, building communities and spreading loving awareness. I am creating this campaign to raise funds to get recording equipment, camera, and vehicle to travel in, so I may spread the Bhakti music to all here in America.
