Help Support Benny Morris Patton Jr. During Heart Surgery Recovery
Story:
Our family and friend recently experienced a frightening and unexpected medical emergency. Benny, who is known for being a caring, hardworking, and dependable person, was suddenly hospitalized after doctors discovered a complete heart blockage that required immediate medical attention.
Within a very short time, doctors determined that Morris needed an emergency surgery for a two-lead pacemaker implanted in order to regulate the heart’s rhythm and prevent a life-threatening situation. Thankfully, the procedure was successful, and we are incredibly grateful to the medical team who acted so quickly.
While we are relieved that Morris is now recovering, the journey ahead will take time. Doctors have advised that Morris will be unable to work for at least six weeks while healing and adjusting to the pacemaker. During this time, medical bills, everyday expenses, and the loss of income are creating a significant financial burden.
We are starting this fundraiser to help ease that stress so his family and himself can focus fully on recovery without worrying about how the bills will be paid. Please be aware that due to not being in his position for less than 8 months he doesn’t have medical leave to cover this time frame!!!
