Kharkiv is one of the cities that has suffered the most since the outbreak of the war in Ukraine. According to the authorities, approximately 30% of the residential buildings were destroyed, 491 houses need to be demolished. Despite the improvement of the overall situation in the city, daily shelling continues. Tens of thousands of people in Kharkiv and the region require humanitarian and psychological support.

Rescue Now is a charitable foundation that helps the civilian population in the east of Ukraine. Primary ways of intervention of the fund are as follows: evacuation of people (including evacuation of people with disabilities and bedridden patients) and animals, assistance in finding shelter, provisioт of hot lunches for vulnerable groups of Kharkiv residents as well as delivery of food, medicine, hygiene products and goods for children and pets.

Throughout the war the members of the fund evacuated more than 11,000 people (including more than 570 difficult evacuations) and about 800 animals, received more than 49,000 requests and delivered 418 tons of humanitarian aid.

The aim of the fund is to help people leave dangerous areas, as well as to support those who remain there.
