I'm working to build a career in cybersecurity so I can create a more stable future for my family.
I'm not asking for help simply to buy a computer. I'm asking for help completing the education, getting the equipment, and earning the certifications I need to turn this new career path into reality.
I've made the decision to change the direction of my future by pursuing a career in cybersecurity.
I'm currently working through the Google Cybersecurity Certificate, learning the fundamentals of cybersecurity, Linux, networking, security tools, and the skills needed to enter the field. I'm committed to continuing my education and my next major goal is earning my CompTIA Security+ certification.
I've already started the journey.
Now I need the tools and resources to finish it.
Cybersecurity isn't a career I can prepare for with just a textbook. I need a capable computer that can handle virtual machines, Linux environments, cybersecurity labs, networking tools, and the hands-on practice that will help me develop real technical skills.
I also need to pay for certification exams and testing as I work toward becoming qualified for entry-level cybersecurity positions.
That's why I'm asking for help with a $3,000 Cybersecurity Career Launch Fund.
Where the $3,000 Will Go
$2,000 — Cybersecurity Laptop
The largest part of the fundraiser will go toward a reliable, professional-grade laptop capable of handling the demands of cybersecurity training.
I want a machine that I can use for more than just completing schoolwork. I need something capable of supporting:

• Networking exercises
• Security tools
• Programming and scripting
• GitHub projects
• Professional cybersecurity coursework
• Building my portfolio
This computer will become my primary tool for learning and eventually working in cybersecurity.
$600 — Cybersecurity Certifications & Testing
A major part of starting a cybersecurity career is proving what I know.
Funds will help cover certification and examination costs, including my goal of taking the CompTIA Security+ exam, as well as future cybersecurity certifications and testing opportunities that can strengthen my qualifications.
These aren't simply pieces of paper to me.
They're stepping stones toward becoming employable in the cybersecurity field.
$250 — Hands-On Cybersecurity Training & Labs
I want to go beyond watching videos and completing quizzes.
I want to actually practice.
This portion will help support hands-on cybersecurity training, labs, virtual environments, and learning resources that allow me to practice the skills employers are looking for.

The remaining funds will help with necessary technical accessories, storage, software/resources, and other career-related expenses that come with building a cybersecurity workstation and professional portfolio.
Why This Means So Much to Me
My goal isn't simply to own a better laptop.
My goal is to become a cybersecurity professional.
I want to reach the point where I can look back at this fundraiser and know that the people who supported me helped me take the first real step toward a completely different future.
I'm willing to do the work.
I'm already studying.
I'm already learning.
I'm already working through my cybersecurity training.
I'm already thinking about certifications, hands-on labs, Linux, networking, and building a portfolio that I can show potential employers.
