Hi, I’m Steph-a local mom of two and the owner of Dished & Done LLC, a small meal prep business built from the ground up with one goal: creating wholesome, clean label, ready-to-heat meals for busy families while trying to building a better future for my children.
What most people don’t see behind the business posts and food photos is the reality of how hard this journey has been. I’ve poured everything I have-financially, mentally, emotionally, and physically into building this business while trying to create a peaceful, healthy environment for my kids. To fund this start-up I put my my only home on the line because I truly believe it & my abilities.
I’ve worked 60+ hour weeks without paying myself because I truly believed in what I was building. I hoped the team I built would help grow this vision with me, but instead I learned some hard truths about being taken advantage of, carrying the weight alone, and realizing not everyone cares about the small business that is helping them pay their bills. I've learned some people only care about the clock and their paycheck, they don't care about the owner, the family the owner is trying to support or the business.
Behind the scenes, I’ve also faced overwhelming personal struggles, emotional exhaustion, lack of support-support I thought I had. I've faced constant instability while still showing up every week to cook, package meals, clean, market, serve customers, and keep pushing forward. There have been many moments where I honestly wanted to give up but, I refuse. I don't have family to ask for help-I have kin but I've never had a solid family structure.
But this business is bigger than food to me.
It’s about showing my children resilience.
It’s about creating peace and stability.
It’s about breaking unhealthy cycles.
And it’s about proving that hard seasons do not have to define the future.
I’m still learning. Still rebuilding. Still fighting for a calm, healthy life for my kids and a business I can be proud of-I want to show my children that no matter the odds, working for what you believe in pays off.
I’m asking for help because I truly do not want to lose something I’ve worked so hard to build. Donations will help keep Dished & Done operating during one of the hardest seasons of my life-helping cover business expenses, production costs, a delivery vehicle to expand-this will give me the chance to continue rebuilding stability for my children and myself.
If you can donate, share, order meals, or simply encourage me, it means more than you know.
Mom to mom, human to human-thank you for seeing me & taking the time to read through this.
