Help us get Brix the life-saving surgery and treatment he needs to continue to live a long, happy and healthy life bringing many smiles and lots of love to everyone he meets.
I rescued Brix from a bad situation 9 years ago. He was barely a year old and had lived his whole life confined to a cage in a dark garage. His coat was dull and his spirits were low, but the loving look of hope in his eyes still shined through the darkness of his surroundings.
I will never forget the first time our eyes met, despite his gloomy situation, his eyes lit up when they met mine and his tail never stopped happily wagging. I knew in that moment I not only had to save him from this sad life, but I had just met my best friend. He's been with me through my highest highs and my lowest lows, always happy and always ready for the next adventure. Brix can brighten up any room, his sweet loving eyes, kind demeanor and teddy bear personality are just a few things that make him so incredibly special. He absolutely adores everyone, especially small children, and when you’re having a bad day he’s right there with you, as if to say “You’re not alone, I’m here for you”. Brix accompanies me daily to work and everywhere in between. He’s the Robin to my Batman, my assistant at my side at all times... He’s my rock and my partner in crime. He loves car rides and getting to meet new people and exploring new places.
Brix was diagnosed with 2 small tumors on his spleen, through a 3D ultrasound, that are leaking bloody fluid into his abdomen, requiring a Splenectomy (Removal of his Spleen). With this surgery and short term treatment to follow, he will be back to exploring, meeting new friends and sharing his love with everyone he meets β€οΈ
