URGENT!!!
My puppy, a 14lb Shorkie named Blue, was attacked by a 200 lb dog last night. I couldn’t stop the bleeding and took him to the emergency room, where they informed me of the damage he had suffered. I was told I only had two options. Blue had severe damage to his upper jaw and palate and was going to need surgery. I would have to drive two hours away for the surgeon that could possibly do the surgery. The doctor at the ER also informed me that the alternative wasn’t good. If Blue didn’t have surgery, I would have to consider putting him down. The surgery will cost $12,000, and I have to have the money by Monday.
Blue is in the hospital in College Station. I couldn’t even stay with him. The hospital where he’s at is monitoring him. He has an IV and is having a sonogram and CT scan done. I’m told he might need a feeding tube as well. He can’t eat solids and is being given soup.
He was very sad on the drive to the hospital. He also developed a discharge from his eye. When we arrived, the hospital also noticed scrapes and bruises.
Please help me, please…
