Hello, my name is Aleks, and I am a Ukrainian immigrant living in Western Massachusetts. My wife and I are raising four wonderful children, while working hard to build a better future here in the United States.
Like many new families, we came here with a dream: to be independent, provide for our children, and contribute to our local community. We believe in hard work, and that’s why we’ve decided to start our own stump grinding and tree service business. This type of work is always needed in our area, and with your help, we can turn it into a sustainable family business that creates opportunities for us and for others in the community.
Starting a business comes with many costs—equipment, safety gear, insurance, marketing, and permits. As a young family, every dollar we have goes toward supporting our kids, so we are reaching out to ask for support in getting our business off the ground. We attempted to rent equipment but the daily rate is substantially high and the profit margin is too low for a sustainable future.
I currently drive a 2008 Toyota Tacoma with 220k miles on it, that hasn't been able to pass emissions inspection because I can't afford to fix the exhaust that fell off over a year ago.
Your donation will help us:
-
Purchase reliable stump grinding equipment
-
Update or repair my truck
- Purchase an inclosed trailer for equipment and tools
-
Cover business startup expenses (licenses, insurance, safety gear)
-
Secure marketing materials to reach local customers
-
Build a foundation for long-term stability for our children
We aren’t just asking for help—we’re committed to giving back. By supporting our small business, you are not only helping a hardworking immigrant family become self-sufficient, but also strengthening the local economy with services that benefit homeowners, businesses, and our community at large.
No contribution is too small, and every share of this campaign helps us get one step closer to independence and stability for our children.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for believing in our family and in the power of community.
With gratitude,
Aleks
