My name is Reese Tennison and I am a junior at the Academy of the Sacred Heart. I am one of the high school leaders for a non-profit organization named Heart of Passion which is driven by teens who care for teens with cancer. Our mission is to bring joy and a sense of normalcy to teens who don’t often have this luxury. We do this by organizing something we call Red Carpet Day, a 4-day event that consists of activities and events to take the teens’ minds off of what they are going through and let them relax and have fun. We raise money for this through community initiatives and fundraisers and rely heavily on generous donations. The donation size is not what matters because, at the end of the day, it will make a difference in these teens' lives no matter what.
