Hardship fund for illegally terminated CFPB employees.
Anyone who is not considered a “prohibited source for the CFPB” is welcome to contribute; see below. All donations are strictly voluntary. More info about the hardship fund is here: FAQ
*Restrictions* If you are considered a “prohibited source for the CFPB”, please do NOT donate to this fund as we cannot accept your donations (sorry). A “prohibited source” for the Bureau includes any person who:
• is seeking official action by the CFPB;
• does business or seeks to do business with the CFPB (e.g., all Bureau contractors);
• conducts activities regulated by the CFPB;
• has interests that may be substantially affected by the performance or nonperformance of your official CFPB duties; or
• is an organization the majority of whose member are described in the four preceding bullet points above (e.g., the American Bankers Association).
If you cannot contribute to our fund but are looking for a way to help fired feds, there is another fund for fired employees across multiple agencies: https://givebutter.com/pMNH0T. We are not affiliated with this separate fund but have confirmed it is legitimate.
