This is my beautiful boy Timothy. He will turn five this summer. Timothy suffers from a condition called Feline Lower Urinary Tract Disease (FLUTD). A few years ago his urinary tract blocked. He unblocked on the way to the emergency vet. He has been on prescription food ever since. Last Friday Timothy blocked again. I took him to our vet and he was able to unblock him and put him on four medications. Saturday Timothy blocked again. We went to the urgent care vet and they unblocked him again. They wanted to send him to the emergency vet hospital for a few days of cathertization. I preferred he have that done at our regular vet. Timothy was feeling alot better yesterday and was somewhat back to his sweet and loving self. I should have took him for a stay at the emergency vet because Timothy blocked again overnight. He is now at our vet on a catheter and fluids. We have two options: get Timothy surgery or have him put down. The surgery is called Perineal Urethrostomy (PU). He will still be on prescription food for the rest of his life and may have complications but he will no longer block. Cats can die within 24-48 hours of blocking if not treated. Due to situations that have happened in the last year and a half, I have no savings. I am trying to get back on my feet. I feel like I have failed Timothy because I can’t afford his treatment. Anyone who knows me knows that my cats are my children, they are my whole world. It is very humbling to have to ask for help but I will do whatever I can to try and save him. If you can help, Timothy, his fur siblings, and I will be forever grateful.

Timothy is home and bandage free! He had his sutures out this morning. They had to sedate him to get the last two deep ones. He has wounds on his neck where the ecollar rubbed. So another vet bill today but fingers crossed there are not more. He’s still pretty loopy from the sedative but I bet it feels good to have everything off. Between all the vet visits, surgery, supplies, we are up over 4k. ALL of my bills are behind so time to play catch up. Keep us in your thoughts.

Timothy is doing okay. We had an unplanned vet visit this morning. Nothing too serious. The corset the vet made him slipped because he has lost so much weight and had to be redone. He has a friction wound under is chin from rubbing on the neck immobilizer. He also needed cleaned up due to an upset tummy. The vet is overall pleased with how he is healing though. Luckily he did not charge an office visit but he did want to refill his antibiotics and sent him home with probiotics to help his tummy. Pet prescriptions can be quite pricy. 6 more days before he gets his sutures out. Fingers crossed.

Timothy is home! His incision is quite large. He is in a neck immobilizer and a corset the vet made to keep him from bothering his hind end. He spends most of the day loopy from pain meds but I can tell when they wear off 😢. He wants me to hold him all the time. I have had to make several trips to get supplies he needs but otherwise I am home with him. The other cats are scared of him I am guessing because of all the stuff he has to wear. Sutures come out June 5th. Fingers crossed that everything goes okay until then. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers, he has alot of healing left to do.

Timothy had surgery yesterday. The vet tech called this morning and said he is eating, drinking and urinating. What we are worried about now is keeping him away from his stitches. Last week, even with a cone on, he pulled his catheter and stitches out. The vet put a neck immobilizer on him and Timothy was miserable. This weekend, he still managed to get his catheter out. The only thing the vet can figure is that he scooted his bottom around until it came out. If he somehow gets his stitches out and his urethra slips, there is no fixing it. The catheter stuck out about an inch and these new stitches are a little harder to access so fingers crossed. The vet techs nicknamed him Houdini. Please keep Timothy in your thoughts and prayers. I am still raising money because he has at least another 3-5 days in the hospital. Please share this if you can. Thank you everyone for helping my boy.

A friend convinced me to go see Timothy. Because he got around his cone and pulled his catheter out a couple days ago, he is wearing a neck brace thing. It looks horribly uncomfortable. He was starting to get too excited so I left so he would not injure himself. I got to love on him for a few minutes though. I miss him so much.
