Hello! My name is Lainie Shield, and I am honored to serve as your Miss Surf City Volunteer 2027! I will be competing for the title of Miss California Volunteer 2027 this September in Hermosa Beach!
I am currently raising funds to help cover the costs associated with pageant weekend, including registration, wardrobe, travel, and other competition expenses. Your support allows me to continue representing my community while expanding my S.E.R.V.E. initiative, Gold for Good.
Gold for Good is dedicated to raising awareness and support for children and families impacted by pediatric cancer and terminal illness. The gold ribbon represents childhood cancer awareness, but to me, it also represents hope, courage, and the responsibility to turn compassion into action. This mission is deeply personal because my cousin Cody lost his battle with cancer, and his life continues to inspire the service work my family and I do today.
Through Gold for Good, I hope to organize donation drives, volunteer opportunities, community partnerships, and meaningful experiences that bring comfort and joy to children and their families during incredibly difficult seasons.
