Our friend Lindsey Heist has been experiencing debilitating pain that has led to moments where she struggles to care for herself and her beloved dog. For months, she hasn't been able to work — or move really. She just now got the medicine from the hospital so she can start to feel like herself again.
For these reasons, she is behind on her rent and utility bills in Siskiyou County, CA. I am working with her friends in Oakland and Siskiyou County, CA, as well as her friends in Milwaukee, WI, to raise funds so she is not evicted on Sept. 1.
We are speaking directly to her landlord, who is asking for $1,600 for her to stay. She also needs to pay PG&E to keep the power on and will need money to live on in September while she heals and gets back on her feet. During September, we will work with her to plan to get out of this rough patch.
If you can help, we need the rent by EOD Monday.
