As we all know, it's hard times in the world... right now, for my Mom and Dad, it's really hard... my Dad has been living in Midland, TX for the last 5 years driving his 18 wheeler for AES. In the last year/year and a half, his health has dwindled down. His mobility has been poor. While in Midland, he's had some pretty awesome people look after him and help with his loads- strapping them down so he doesn't have to fight getting in and out of his truck. During the recent ice storm, his top step had ice on it. He slipped and fell from his top step. Hurting his legs, feet, etc. It became harder for him to walk. Not even two weeks later, he was at a yard loading and didn't have anyone to help with his load. He had no choice but to get down and strap his load. After getting it tended to, he went to get back into his truck when his legs gave out on him. He fell to the ground and couldn't get up. Luckily a fork lift driver came around and saw him. They got him up. Unfortunately, that left him as a liability and wasn't allowed back at that yard. He came home for a little while due to pain from falling. Got Xrayed and went to the doctor. He ended up returning to Midland, but unfortunately didn't have any loads (no fault to the company at all). With his health, we've had no choice but to bring him home. 😭

Mom, Laura, has been my God send for the last 7 years. She has graciously, selflessly, given up her postal route to help me tend to my children. Always shuffling them to doctor's appointments, school functions, sports, more sports, the store, picked them up from school, etc. She literally saves me from being a crappy employee... I have now enrolled both boys into school in hopes of her finding a job. But unfortunately... she's limited, herself, on the things she can do. But has literally applied for it all. Family has come together to help as much as we can... Now, with pride tucked away. We are asking for help. Help to get them by. Help to keep them from losing everything they've worked hard for.. People get down on their luck.. This is just unfortunately their turn... πŸ’”πŸ’”

My mother has been in charge of the Saving for Singer, S4 Group/SHARE Group. Etc. She is the one who helps make sure the teachers have supplies for their classrooms. Kids can receive free school supplies. The backpack program that helps feed kids who might not have a hot meal to go home to on the weekends and those whose family struggles, too. She is by far, the most selfless person out there. She will make sure her family, kids, grandkids, community and school have what they need before her needs. Now, I'm asking for the community to come together for them. πŸ™

Please!! We are actively looking for her a job. If someone knows of something that doesn't require standing all day, please let myself, my sister- Megan, or my mom know.
