I never imagined that at 23 years old, I would have to write something like this. I never thought I would be asking strangers, friends, family, and our community for help because my mom is no longer here.
. Our family was suddenly faced with the possibility of losing my mom and having to make decisions that no child should ever have to make for their parent.
After everything she had gone through, she went into cardiac arrest and we decision to let her go.
As her daughter, this is something I still don't know how to process. and I'm trying to figure out how to move forward without my mom while also watching my family deal with the same unimaginable loss.
There are so many things you don't think about when you lose someone unexpectedly. You think about the person, the memories, and the heartbreak—but then the financial responsibilities begin piling up too. Between the expenses surrounding her passing and everything our family now has to take care of, we are struggling financially and simply do not have enough to cover everything on our own.
That is why I am reaching out and asking for help.
Any money raised will help my family with the financial expenses that have come from losing my mom so unexpectedly. More than anything, this fundraiser would give us a little breathing room while we grieve and try to figure out what life looks like without her.
