our journey began in 2015 with and ocular melanoma.. Plaque radation killed the tumor.. in March of 2019 we had a small nodule in the liver.. we waited to see.. by July it had nearly doubled, we began immuno therapy..along with a new "trial" drung.. they did not work..
Halloween of 2019 we had an emblazation.. things were great in Dec 2019!!! it was dead like the eye!!!
Come Jan... it grew a tail.. the dead tumor in the liver grew a tail!!! and we were on to another emblazation.. then COVID hit and hit hard.. treatemt was delayed till May 2020.. 4 days totally alone at Sloane..
Scan time in August showed that the embo did not work!!! we are now discussing a liver resection as there is ONLY that one spot.. OK so on his 58th Bday he has one third of his liver taken out anlong with a piece of his diaphram (raw and messed up from the embos)!!! hes 100% cancer FREE.. well.. with in the week of being relased, he has fluids building up in the space where the liver was..and back in the hospital again to have a drain put in...
Ok so holidays are great!! NO CANCER or so we thought!~!! NEW scans Jan 21, reveal 4 NEW spots. liver.. lung.. kidney.. stomcah lining they are small they say.. ..NOW terror sets in as this cancer does nto respod well to any therapy.. IN FACT they dont use chemo or radation to treat it as it does not respond..
SOOO a new trial seems to be our only hope and we partake of this trail and start it Feb9th!!! every side effect that you could get we get!!! and they say thats GREAT it means the meds are working!!! NOT...
Skip to April 9th new scans show the 2 largest masses have nearly doubled and have made 3 new freinds... one in the galbladder!! Ok so now we need to "wait" to wash out the drug we used and failed..to begin the possiblity of a NEW Trial drug that they have NO IDEA if it will work..
We beging looking for holistic options and come across the CHIPSA hospital in Mexico with a 70% sucess rate!!! they are very confident that they can kill all the cancer and keep him cancer free for at least 5 years.. and if needed treatement can be repeated .. of course they accept no insurance
We have 4 kids.. and been married 36 years.. we would love to make it 75 years.. please help us get there
