We now know that Stefan has cancer and now requires expensive ongoing care to drain fluids from his abdomen on an ongoing basis in addition to constant monitoring and other treatment.  He is on medication to try to shrink the tumor.  Unfortunately surgery is not an option and we can only hope to keep it in check for as long as possible.  Thank you to everyone who has expressed love and support.  He's a special cat and he is very much loved, but rest assured I will not let him suffer.
