Anyone who ever met Princess knows she lived up to her name.

She ruled the house, claimed the bed as her throne, and if you happened to be sleeping in her spot, you'd usually wake up to a paw in the face. She was sassy, stubborn, and fiercely protective. If Pipsqueak got grumbly while I did her nails, Princess would come running from anywhere in the house because she was convinced she needed to save me.

We adopted Princess as a tiny kitten, and for 11 wonderful years she ruled our home.

She suddenly collapsed Friday morning, and we rushed her to the emergency vet.

Less than 45 minutes later, we were walking back to the car with an empty carrier.

The veterinarians explained that Princess had suffered a sudden blood clot that cut off circulation to her back legs. It happened so quickly that there was nothing anyone could do. The hardest and kindest thing we could do was let her go peacefully.

The veterinary staff showed us incredible kindness during one of the hardest moments of our lives. They even offered to prepare two engraved urns, along with separate paw prints and fur clippings, so we could each bring a piece of Princess home.

Princess leaves behind her sisters, Dutchess and Pipsqueak, who are still looking for her around every corner.

We've spent the last year doing everything we could to make ends meet while I've been unable to work and waiting for my disability hearing in October.

I'm still trying to process losing Princess. Along with the cost of her emergency care and cremation, I'm trying to get Pipsqueak the allergy immunotherapy she desperately needs while also facing personal legal expenses that simply can't be postponed. Through all of it, the everyday bills haven't stopped.

Pipsqueak suffers from severe environmental allergies that cause painful skin flare-ups, hair loss, and constant itching. She spends far too much of her life in a cone just to keep from hurting herself, and this treatment gives us hope that she can finally find some relief.

I've gone back and forth about creating this fundraiser because asking for help has never come easily to me. But right now, I simply can't do this alone.

Your support will help cover:

🐾 Princess's emergency veterinary care, euthanasia, cremation, and memorial keepsakes.

🐾 Pipsqueak's allergy desensitization immunotherapy.

📄 Personal legal expenses that simply can't be postponed.

Any support beyond these immediate needs will help me continue caring for Dutchess and Pipsqueak, stay current on essential bills, and make it through to my disability hearing while I work toward getting back on my feet.

If you're able to donate, thank you from the bottom of my heart. If you're not, sharing this fundraiser or simply keeping Princess, Dutchess, Pipsqueak, and me in your thoughts means more than you know.

Thank you for helping me honor Princess's memory while giving me the chance to keep caring for Dutchess and Pipsqueak.
