Welcome! My name is Katherine Love, I am a close friend of Bayan Matar and run her campaign. Miriam is Bayan’s older sister and she is hoping to help the family survive and rebuild. Funds from this campaign will also go to the same family of 9 members. This includes their parents, Bayan and her two children and the adult siblings.
Miriam is 31 years old, she graduated from an early childhood/child care program. Her dream is to help her family rebuild their home and to open a kindergarten. Heartbreakingly, the family’s home has recently been completely leveled. They will all need to work together to rebuild. (Photo below from before two years ago).
it has taken resilience we can scarcely fathom to survive the past two years of violence, scarcity and starvation, especially in the North where the Matar family is located. They are still not safe, in spite of the promise of ceasefire, we know that the occupation has already violated what they’ve promised and cannot be trusted. Even if the ceasefire does hold (we pray this is true), there will be immense work to recover and there will be high costs.
Bayan is continuously sent everything that is in her campaign, this has been what has allowed them to survive, but there is nothing left to use to rebuild. Bayan is also in need of support as she feels overwhelmed being the sole breadwinner. Please support Miriam to help the Matar family rebuild and continue to survive through the process. They have no opportunity for income, and haven’t for two years, we are their only hope.
Thank you for your presence and support for this family!!
