My name is Holden, I am a social worker, educator, performer, and theatremaker, and I am the creator and director of Transpose Theatricals, a theatre company dedicated to highlighting trans joy. This April, we are putting on our first in-person show; You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown (Revised) with an entirely trans and non-binary cast, crew, and creative team in North Hollywood, CA. We are raising funds to cover the costs of rights, materials, rehearsal and performance space rental, and compensation for those involved in the production.
Our compensation model for this show is that, once all expenses are covered, all remaining funds from donations and ticket sales will be split evenly among everyone involved in the production. We are collecting donations not only to keep ticket prices low so that the show is accessible as possible, and not only to ensure we can get access to quality materials, but also to have a larger pool from which to split the revenue to compensate everyone involved.
Every dollar helps fund this production, which I hope to have serve as respite from a world that is becoming increasingly hostile toward trans people, especially as we see new people take office, and to bring some joy to the people of LA. Please consider helping out, and stay tuned for ticket details as well!
DISCLAIMER: While a goal of $10,000 is listed, the show will be put on no matter how much we raise, so every dollar helps!
