A Heartbreaking Diagnosis
Michael is battling stage IV colon cancer.
His journey has been filled with doctor’s appointments, treatments, medications, uncertainty, and unimaginable challenges.
Recently, his family received the devastating news that his prognosis is extremely serious. Doctors have expressed grave concerns about his future, and the possibility that his remaining time may be limited has become a heartbreaking reality they must face.
But perhaps the most painful part of Michael’s journey isn’t what he’s going through physically.
It’s the thought of all the moments he may not get to experience with the people he loves most.
Michael desperately wants to watch Sawyer grow up.
He wants to be there for her birthdays, her first days of school, her accomplishments, her graduation, and all the little moments in between.
He wants more bedtime stories. More afternoons playing outside. More laughter. More time.
And he wants to grow old alongside Melissa, continuing the life and love they have built together.
The thought of leaving his wife and daughter behind is heartbreaking for him.

Helping Melissa and Sawyer Face an Uncertain Future
