Help Our Family Finally Get Reliable Transportation

Three years ago, our family moved to this town to start over. We didn’t have connections. We didn’t have resources. But we had determination and each other.

Shortly after moving here, our only vehicle developed severe gas and oil leaks. We couldn’t afford the repairs, and with no support system, we made the heartbreaking decision to sell it. For an entire year, with two young children, we rode bikes everywhere. Grocery store trips. Bus rides. Doctor appointments. My husband rode his bike up hills and mountains overnight to get to work. We did whatever it took to survive and save.

After a year of sacrifice, we worked hard enough to purchase two vehicles. It felt like we had finally caught a break.

Now, three years later, we are facing major vehicle issues again. My husband’s car began having repeated flat tires that turned out to be a valve issue. We’re addressing that. But the vehicle I was sold has developed a failing TCM (Transmission Control Module). We later found out the previous owner knew this part repeatedly failed and had a lifetime warranty on it, something we weren’t told upfront. While the part may be covered, we are still facing towing, labor, time off work, and ongoing instability.

We are a hardworking family. We do not have multiple income streams. We are trying to build a life where our kids have presence, stability, and love… not just parents who are constantly working to keep up with emergencies.

We are not looking for luxury. We are looking for reliability. A safe, dependable vehicle would mean stability for our family, work commutes, grocery trips, and peace of mind without constant fear of the next breakdown. We have most of the expense but really need a community behind us.

If you feel led to support us, whether through donating or sharing this fundraiser, we are deeply grateful. We have fought hard for three years to rebuild. We are still fighting. And any help getting us into a reliable vehicle would change everything for our family.

Thank you for reading our story and for standing with us. 🤍
