Hello,
I am a 31 year old, wife, and mother to two amazing littles (ages 2 & 4). In November of 2023 I was diagnosed with stage 3, histologic grade 3, HER2- breast cancer with multiple lymph nodes involved, including 2 in front of my heart that are too high risk to surgically remove. (They will be solely treated with chemo & radiation).
I began Chemotherapy on December 6th and had what I thought was my last round on March 22nd, 2024. Following the completion of my Chemotherapy, I moved forward and had my double Mastectomy on April 23rd, 2024.
Upon further testing, it was discovered that I had both HER2- & HER2+ cancers coexisting together and will be starting a new chemotherapy regimen May 22nd, which will continue every 3 weeks for a year.
Radiation will continue as planned in early June, every day for 33 sessions.
While we typically find it hard to ask for help, I’m hoping to alleviate some of the financial burden and help keep our heads above water, which is becoming increasingly more difficult. This process will go well into 2025, but I’m praying to come out of this stronger and healthier than ever.
