Hi my name is Joan and I am trying to help my friend Ahmed and his family who live in Gaza. This family have suffered so much and lost everything like so many others. Today, they need money for transportation in order to return back to Jabalia, to buy blankets and food, and to charge his phone. The prices in Gaza for everything is extremely expensive. For example, $50 for baby formula and $50 for diapers per week for his son Hani (5-months old).
I have been helping Ahmed myself and the money I send via bank transfer goes direct to his account and so its all secure and safe. However, now with increasing costs and needs my money is not going to be enough to live on.
Here is Ahmed's story...
My name is Ahmed Dmaida. I am from Jabalia, Gaza, and I am a father of four beautiful children, Halima (7), Khaled (5), Mohamed (3), and our youngest, Hani, who is just 4 months old.
Hani depends entirely on baby formula, which is now almost impossible to find and heartbreakingly expensive. My wife, weakened by malnutrition, cannot breastfeed him. Mohamed suffers from deep trauma that he wakes in the middle of the night screaming in fear from the bombings he has witnessed.
Our family has endured unimaginable pain. I have lost many relatives in this ongoing genocide. On Eid al-Adha, I tried to visit my grandmother in West Gaza. On the way, our path was struck by an Israeli airstrike. By the mercy of Allah, I survived. But when I finally reached her home, I found that my grandmother and uncle had already been martyred.
Since that day, I have not been able to return to my home in Jabalia due to the relentless attacks. My family and I now live in a camp in Central Gaza. Winter is approaching, and I cannot provide warm clothing for my children. Soon, the rainy season will come, and our tent will flood.
Our home in Jabalia has been reduced to rubble. All our memories, all our dreams, destroyed. My heart aches for a chance to give my children a safe, warm, and normal life again.
I am asking for your kindness to help us survive this winter, to provide food and essentials for my children, and, Insha’Allah, to one day rebuild our home and our lives.
Every donation, no matter how small, brings us closer to safety, dignity, and hope. Please, stand with us in this time of darkness.
May Allah reward you for your compassion.
Please donate today and help Ahmed rebuild his dream of a safe home for his children.
