Update: 4/24/24
Most of you have probably read or heard from Brittany, but I just wanted to give an update on her site as well. In typical Brittany fashion, we’ll start with the positives 😊…Brittany finished radiation treatment to her pelvic bone and had great results from that! However, she’s been experiencing more pain and a recent PET scan found that her cancer has spread to 23 more new spots in her bones. Desperate for answers and why this is happening so quickly, Brittany and her family are doing everything that they can to slow down and stop her cancer from spreading. Currently, Brittany is down at MD Anderson with the best of the best to see what options she has. She is also in the early stages of beginning a treatment plan with a holistic team of doctors that compliments her other treatments. None of which is unfortunately covered by insurance and requires expensive lab work and costly changes to daily living. Although she has a great plan in place both of these things are very costly and taking both Tom and Brittany away from work. All while still managing a household with three, 4-year olds. Brittany and her family need our help more than ever to assist in taking this financial burden off of them and allow her to receive the best possible treatment. Brittany and her family are so grateful and thankful to everyone thus far for their generous donations and prayers! Please continue to keep Brittany and her family in your daily prayers! ❤️
To hear the words, “I’m sorry your cancer has returned” is something no cancer survivor ever wants to hear. Unfortunately, our dear friend Brittany at her two year follow up, discovered that her breast cancer has returned and now spread to her bones. She is diagnosed as having Stage 4 Metastatic Breast Cancer, which will be a lifelong journey with yearly extensive medical bills.
As most of you know, Brittany is a bubbly Physical Therapist working PRN, which means she does not get any paid time off nor does she get short or long term disability. Unfortunately, daily radiation treatment and testing has already taken her away from being able to work consistently. With triplet 3 year olds and increased medical bills, this family of five is feeling the financial toll of going down to a near single income. The hope is to be able to keep their family from financial worries that these medical costs have began to put on them during this already stressful time in their lives. Let’s show this family the love and support that they need to carry them through this difficult time by taking away the additional stress of finances! We want this beautiful family to be able to focus on healing and enjoying time together as a family of five! Thank you everyone!!
