A Little Help During a Difficult Time ❤️
I’m reaching out because I’m going through a difficult financial time and could really use some help.
I work as a CNA, and I take a lot of pride in caring for people every day. I work hard, show up for others, and do everything I can to provide for my family. But like so many working families, I’m finding it harder and harder to make ends meet.
The cost of everyday life has continued to rise. Groceries, utilities, insurance, gas, housing, and other basic expenses have all become more expensive, while wages have not kept up with the cost of living.
Working in a nursing facility has also become increasingly difficult. Changes in healthcare coverage and shorter stays can mean fewer residents staying in facilities, which can affect staffing hours and available work. When hours are reduced or there simply aren’t enough hours available, some of us have had to use our earned PTO just to make sure we can keep up with our bills and make it through the month.
It is heartbreaking to work in healthcare, care for people who depend on us, and still struggle financially ourselves. CNAs are essential to the care of our residents, and I truly wish the people doing this work were valued and compensated more for the physical, emotional, and personal commitment we give every day.
I’m not asking for anything extravagant. I’m simply asking for a little help while I work through this difficult period and try to catch up on essential expenses. Any amount would mean more to me than I can put into words. If you aren’t able to donate, sharing my fundraiser would also be incredibly appreciated.
Asking for help isn’t easy, especially when you’re used to working hard and taking care of yourself and everyone around you. But sometimes even the people who spend their lives caring for others need someone to care about them, too.
