Our daughter Jessica had a heart attack feb.22. Since then she has had several resulting in different surgeries such as stents, and a diffibulator. In January we took her in for a heart catheter test. At that time we learned she was in end stage. She stayed in the hospital for a week where they ran numerous tests from head to toe checking everything to see if she could qualify for a heart transplant..she was and we were told she was stage 4. 3 weeks later she had an appointment for another heart catheter test. She called me that morning her heart was giving her trouble, rushed her to er. They put a swan in her neck,we were told she is now at stage 3. Stage 3 means she does not leave hospital till a heart is found. She's been in the hospital for a week. Yesterday (1/28/23) she had another procedure, they took out the swan and inserted a impala. This picture is of her in august. She is now stage 2..she is no longer intubated and took a short walk. I have no idea how much to ask for. The hospital bills are piling up and more to come. The heart team has informed us she can be here for a few years, till they get a matching heart.

A little about Jessica.  Jessica married her boyfriend of 20 years in August of 2022. She is a line shift leader at Bosch factory.  She is 35 with a birthday coming up soon in February. She's a bit of a thing, not even coming up to 5 ft. She is a feisty, spirted young lady who needs our help.

I know the economy isn't the best but even a dollar helps. If you could share this to get the word out,I'd greatly appreciate it.

Sorry I haven't updated recently.  The impalla was taken out (it is a temporary thing usually 10 days) it let her heart rest as it does the work of the heart. It really helped her heart out.  She was listed as a 2 but now she is listed as a 4 so she was allowed to go home. Being at home has improved her heart greatly. She has to see one Dr. Or another every week to check her heart and blood levels. They check blood levels because when your heart is very bad other organs can start shutting down. So they monitor that closely.  So far her levels are pretty good if the numbers start falling then she will have to see that Dr. more frequently.

The Columbia City fire department is having a fundraising breakfast on April 22. Time to be determined.  I will post the time when I get it.

Jessica will have her staples from impala removal taken out feb18. She's on 7 heart medications and 4 or 5 vitamins to help build herself up. All in all she's doing very well.

Jessica's mental health is declining so the heart team has decided to let her go home. We are to take her 2 to 3 times a week to have her levels checked. If her levels decline or her heart acts up she will be re-admitted. They think at this time it's the best action for her.
