Serhii Babak was my beloved brother. Our family is heartbroken by his tragic death. We are asking for help to bring him home to Ukraine so we can lay him to rest.
Help Bring Serhii Home to His Mother in Ukraine
Serhii Babak, a 37-year-old Ukrainian, tragically lost his life following a devastating car accident in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
Three vehicles collided on Highway 17 Bypass. Witnesses tried to rescue Serhii, who was trapped in an SUV, but were unable to free him. He was taken to the hospital, where he later passed away.
Serhii was a kind, generous, and caring person. Those who knew him remember someone who was always willing to lend a helping hand. He came to the United States to escape the war in Ukraine and worked hard to build a new life. He was only 37 years old.
His mother lives alone in Ukraine, where the war continues. She is now facing a mother’s deepest heartbreak—the loss of her son, so far from home.
We are raising funds to send Serhii’s ashes to Ukraine for burial, so his mother can say her final goodbye and have a place where she can visit and remember him.
The funds raised will help cover the necessary paperwork, arrangements for transporting his ashes, and burial in Ukraine.
We are grateful for any contribution, no matter the amount. If you are unable to donate, please consider sharing this fundraiser. Every donation and every share will help us bring Serhii home.
Thank you for your kindness, compassion, and support.
