🐾❤️ Ruby Update — She Made It Through Surgery! ❤️🐾
We wanted to share a long-overdue update on our sweet Ruby.
Ruby successfully made it through her amputation surgery and is now home recovering. 🥹❤️ After everything she has been through with her tumor, making the decision to amputate her front left leg was incredibly difficult, but we knew it was the best decision we could make to give her the chance at a happier, more comfortable life.
Recovery has definitely had its ups and downs. Ruby is learning how to navigate life on three legs while her body continues to heal. Some days she has more energy and a better appetite, and other days she is tired and needs a little extra encouragement to eat, drink, and get moving. We are taking everything one day at a time and giving her all the love, patience, and care she needs. 🐾
Seeing her adjust has been emotional, but we are so incredibly proud of her. Ruby continues to show us just how strong and resilient she is.
We also want to say THANK YOU from the bottom of our hearts to everyone who has donated, shared Ruby’s fundraiser, checked on her, prayed for her, and supported us throughout this journey. Every donation has helped with the enormous cost of her surgery, testing, medications, hospital care, and continued recovery.
Her journey isn’t completely over yet, and we are still facing medical and recovery expenses. If you are able to donate or simply share Ruby’s story again, it would mean more to us than we could ever put into words. ❤️
Most importantly, our girl is here. She made it through surgery. She’s home. And now we get to help her learn just how amazing life can still be on three legs. 🐶🐾❤️
