The aggressive hepatic blastomas spread rapidly throughout his liver, compelling him to undergo seven arduous rounds of chemotherapy, spending several weeks, even months, confined to hospital walls.On February 4th, 2022, Harrison was given a new chance at life with a liver transplant from incredibly compassionate parents who made an unimaginable sacrifice during their time of loss. This gift of life, while miraculous, also carried its share of burdens. The medical bills have been overwhelming, but most heartbreaking is the toll the procedures have taken on Harrison's tiny body. He has lost the majority of his kidney function and 60% of his hearing.As Harrison continues his brave fight, a kidney transplant looms on the horizon as a crucial need due to the relentless effects of chemotherapy and his pre-existing kidney disease.
