Some of you may be familiar with my medical journey that's started since late November of 2020. For anyone not familiar I'll try to sum it up as best I can.
I presented to the ER with a Large Bowel Obstruction, the doctor basically told me I had to have surgery or I could go home and hope that it hels on its own. I chose to have the surgery done given that I had been diagnosed with Diverticulitis severl times since 2015. The surgery was a Temporary Colostomy and was due to be taken down in about a month of two of healing post-surgery. I was also told that I'd be unable to work until I had fully recovered once the Temporary Colostomy was removed. A 2nd surgery was scheduled and completed but it ended up having complications and my large intestine started leaking inside my abdomen so a 3rd surgery was immediately carried out. By this point it's already february, I haven't been able to return to work and have been fighting with my insurance to cover the now-reaching a dozen procedures at this point. Leaving me to pay for some visits and medication out of pocket waiting for posible reimbursement. Now it's September and after a scan and a check-up the surgeon in charge of my case no longer feels like he can continue to operate on me so he refers me to a different institution. On October I was finally able to see the new surgical team and they're willing to carry out the final 2 surgeries to return me to a normal life, however before that can happen I need to find a more reliable insurance.

Now, this is all important because I have NOT been able to work since the whole incident started which was late November of 2020. I've ben able to keep up with the majority of household bills in part thanks to my dad who lives with me. However we have recently received a Letter of Intent to Foreclose from the bank that we have the mortgage through. I'd been making partial payments to the mortgage under the premise that I'd be returning to work soon and get caught up.
But between the complication of the last surgery and now the search for a new insurance has thrown a wrench into my plans, not to mention my dad has lost his job and is looking into some leads for new work placement. Because of his current loss of work and my lack of work history for nearly a year we do not qualify for assistance from the bank and that altogether has put us in this current situation.

I'm generally not the kind of person who asks anyone for help, I tend to stubbornly attempt to find a way forward on my own. In my current state though I've been trying to think my way through it over and over and have not been able to come up with a solution.

Not to mention that if we lose this house we would also lack the necessary income verification necessary to move alsewhere. Now it is with hat in hand that I must publicly ask for help from anyone who is able and willing to contribute. I know that the current situation is rough for a lot of people so it greatly pains me to be asking knowing I may not be the only person in this type of situation. But this is an option that was suggested to me.

Thank you for taking the time to at least view this, I know everyone's time is very important.
