Stevie is a 2 year old very healthy pitty rescue. She switches between being a very active ball enthusiast and a loving couch potato. She loves fiercely, a wonderful spitfire mix of sweet angel and FAFO. She recently tore her ACL and possibly her miniscus while getting off the couch (she wants me to tell you she was doing something cool). This is common in pitties, especially her age. She is recommended to get TPLO ACL surgery due to her weight class, age, and activity level… and in many many cases, once they tear one side, the other side tears within 6-8 months.
Honestly, since going through my medical journey I’ve already been hustling, exhausting all resources (working multiple jobs against medical advice), and fighting tooth and nail to stay afloat financially while trying to heal and get auto immune disorders under control. My friends/village have lovingly reminded me it’s okay to ask for help. So that’s what I’m doing. I know everyone is struggling and many feel under water financially so I feel absolutely terrible even writing this.
But, if we can get my girl fixed up so she can live a long pain, free life, I’ve got to suck up my pride and do this
