Support Damar Fields after Violent Police Beating in Peekskill: Legal, Medical, and Housing Assistance
On December 3, 2025, Damar Fields, an unarmed man who was known by local police to have emotional disabilities, was involved in a traumatic encounter with police at Waterfront Park in Peekskill, New York. During this incident, Damar was punched, kicked and tased three times by armed police officers.
Damar survived this encounter, but the aftermath has been devastating.
Despite the serious injuries Damar sustained, the Westchester District Attorney has announced she will not file charges against the officers who beat Damar. Instead she is charging Damar on 3 criminal counts, two weeks after this incident, despite his being the one who was seriously injured.
Damar now needs support for legal defense, medical care, housing, and basic necessities as he fights for his future.
Please donate if you can and please share widely.
Damar deserves care, dignity, and a fair chance at justice.
THANK YOU FOR STANDING WITH DAMAR.
