Help Santiago Overcome Medical Debt & Rebuild Life

I am Santiago, and I am humbly asking for help as I work to recover from years of serious health challenges and the financial burden they left behind. For the past six years, I have lived with a depressive disorder that led to several hospitalizations. The most serious moment came in 2026, when I also faced a kidney condition that required renal dialysis treatment. While I have largely recovered from that kidney crisis, the aftermath has been overwhelming. I am now carrying significant medical debt, and on top of that, there is an outstanding $18,000 lien on my home that is preventing me from selling it.

My goal is simple but deeply important to me: to clear the lien so I can sell my house, settle my medical debts, and move into a smaller home where I can live peacefully and begin again without this constant pressure. Throughout my life, I have tried to be there for others. I studied Medicine and, even though I no longer practice professionally, I was blessed with opportunities to serve vulnerable communities through volunteer work in southern Mexico with the Totonac people, in Venezuela after the 1999 La Guaira landslides, and in Europe with marginalized communities such as Romanies and immigrants. I am proud of having given my time, care, and support wherever I could. Today, I find myself in need of that same kindness.
