Pam is 46 years old and has had 49 kidney stones since June 21, 2022. 4 surgeries, 6 stints and now she's even worse than before. She passed a stone 5 weeks ago and slowly got sicker and sicker due to her urologist not seeing her right away even though they were contacted by phone and my chart messages. They would not even call her in anything . They said she had to wait to be seen on her appointment. Her appointment was scheduled 4 weeks away. (September 6th) well this Sunday August 27th, her husband Michael rushed her to the hospital ER. (And a totally different hospital system with a different urologist group) and if he hadnt she would not have made it 24 hours. She would have died. They took her immediately within 15 minutes of arriving to the operateing room and put stints in both kidneys, they were both blocked. She was and is septic, which has caused her blood to form a bacteria that is very drug resistant. And they can not treat her stones, which both kidneys are blocked still now until they get the infection and bacteria under control. She spent 3 days in ICU before moving her to a regular room. And was allowed to come home on Friday September 1st, 2023. She is now home with both kidneys still blocked but they have stints in each one. She has a catheter. She also has a picc line in her arm so she can be administered antibiotics intravenously. She has a home health nurse now who will visit 1 time a week. Michael has to administer her infusion of antibiotics daily. And him working is the only income in their household and thats if he gets to go to work depending on how Pam is doing. He has missed alot lately taking care of her. She has alot of medications, Medical equipment and they have daily living expenses as we all do plus the medical bills are rolling in on top of regular bills. She already has 2 more surgeries scheduled *1 in 3 weeks *if and only if the septic infection and the bacteria in her blood are gone or down enough for surgery. Then They will address the stones once she's well enough .And then find out why her body is producing so many. Her body is fighting so hard. And now since she has new urologist that are specialist & new hospital group she also has many appointments and labs to be ran regularly. She has a long road a head of her. She is a warrior and very determined to get better, but in the mean time if you are able to and find it in your heart to donate. Please do. Any amount small medium or large every penny & every prayer counts. Please keepππPam and her husband ππMichael in your prayers. And until she's out of the woods pray a little harder. ππππ
Thank you in advance
Pam Carrol, Michael's Sister
And God Bless
