Despite current efforts to enforce anti-poaching laws, African lions are still frequently caught in cable snares and killed. Both non-forgiving and nonselective, cable snares tear through the animal’s flesh, often leaving the creature suffering for hours before its death.
With the African lion population in the thousands, it is crucial that we act now to enforce anti-poaching laws and rescue lions that have been injured by these traps.
