NASA has announced that four new Earth-sized exoplanets have been discovered orbiting a star about 40 light-years away, and that three may contain liquid water and be able to sustain life.
The nearby solar system has 7 Earth-sized planets, 3 of which circle their parent star at the right distance for liquid surface water.
"I think that we've made a crucial step towards finding if there is life out there," said astronomer Amaury Triaud.
