The South County Combined Indoor Band has earned the opportunity to perform at the WGI World Championships in Dayton, Ohio—something these students have worked toward all season.
Behind every performance are long practices, discipline, and real commitment. These students have earned their place on that stage.
As a parent, I’ve seen firsthand what this program can do. My son, who has special needs, has truly flourished through the band—gaining confidence, structure, and a strong sense of belonging. That’s a big part of why I’ve stepped in to support not just him, but three additional students as a chaperone.
While the county covered part of the cost, families are still responsible for transportation, meals, and daily expenses. A last-minute change also increased lodging costs, adding an unexpected financial burden.
With travel scheduled for April 15, we’re working within a short window to help close that gap.
This fundraiser will go directly toward:
- Transportation (parents have to provide our own transportation and this will be a rental cost)
- Meals
- Increased lodging costs
- Daily expenses
